engine noise is very important to me. my biggest problem with the new M cars is how quiet they are, again even with a over priced system.
the S65 and S85 are the last singing motors we are going to see from BMW for a while if you ask me.

I'm all for technology.
But I also think more could be done about the sound and not just performance.
When it comes to sports car, if it goes fast, it has to sound fast.
Maserati Ghibli used a V6 twin turbo. For some reason they still managed to retain a somewhat similar Flat Plane crank note.
While not 100% identical to a flat plane V8, it does make you turn your head to check it out a 2nd or 3rd time.
