I guess it's not really RAW CF per se, but more of a hard edge. It appears slightly unfinished because of the relatively large circumferential gap. The gap wasn't present on the original plastic OEM piece as there was a somewhat countersunken effect to the area surrounding the actual button/switch. Maybe someone can take a closeup for comparison on their original OEM piece.

Some finished photos (quickly snapped on a super sunny day - sorry), including a close-up of the area in question (again with terrible lighting - it's not yellow at all, I promise - it's my garage lighting at night). Overall, it's a really AMAZING piece! Matches very nicely with my black interior and carbon leather trim!
