I actually agree with the other guy - drove my friend's and after the initial expected adrenalin hit when experiencing the acceleration and corner loading, I felt very happy to go back to my M3.
The combination of boring sound, paddleshift tranny and light/lifeless steering completely turned me away. It's the most expensive video game console ever produced - and they keep turning up the price year after year.
OP, it's good that you managed a compromise that allows you to still have fun in inclement business times. I'll be very curious to see what car you end up next when/if the business picks up again...
