At the end the write-up says that the M3 is much cheaper than its rivals, the Porsche 911 and Audi RS4.
In England the M3 is within a few hundred pounds of the RS4 and getting up into 911 range - not exactly what I would call much cheaper.
Maybe this is good news for when the M3 does make it stateside.
