Noticed a small oily spot on the floor of the garage the other day. Based on its location on the floor, I figured it was probably the diff. The next morning I got under the back of the car, and sure enough, there was a drop of fluid hanging from the diff housing. I thought it might be a bad seal/gasket. The dealership found that a couple bolts on the housing had become loose, so they retorqued and checked again for leaks--good to go. Maybe driveline stresses work the bolts loose over time?
