Hello everyone, I've just bought a 2010 E92 Dakar Edition with M-DCT and I'm going through the motions with insurance at the moment. Whenever I enter the vehicle registration, the insurers automatically class the vehicle as a 'Manual' transmission vehicle.

If I manually change this to 'Automatic' it adds a couple of hundred £ to the quotes, but there isn't obviously an option for 'Dual Transmission' etc.

I've read up on various sites, and they actually class the vehicle as Manual primarily.

What is the general concensus on here for insurance purposes and what has everyone classed their M-DCT M3 as with their insurers?
