Not a big fan of CA Speedway as I enjoy more technical tracks like Buttonwillow and Spring Mountain (waiting to head out to Chuckwalla in late Sept though...
). Anyhow, even though I have the car that can easily run a time in the top of the red/green group I know my skill level is not there so I run in the purple/black group where no one really passes me and I can focus on the line and improving my skills (getting passed seems to throw off my concentration). I've noticed some of the guys in the red/green groups can be overly aggressive when it comes to tracking and I'm not keen on putting myself and my car at risk. When I'm ready to turn off the auto save, I'll probably go down to the blue group so I can feel comfortable not going all out while I learn what the car is capable of.
