Clear coat in some areas is already thin, by wet sanding and polishing to a great clean reflection you are also loosing that sacrificial layer (ex. what if in the future you have light scratches and swirls) extra polishing afterwards is just promoting paint issues in the future. I wouldn't recommend it on OEM paint. Showcars for this reason have an extra layer or two of clear as wet sanding is already in the plan for them. My advice, live with it.
