I enjoyed watching the video, it was well made and entertaining.
The E46 M3 is still a great looking car and I agree that the manual is the better used choice...much as I enjoyed the SMG cars I had, the system is likely to be more troublesome than the manual with more miles - I went through 3 clutches in 40,000 in my last one! If I was buying used I would look for the facelift version - 2004MY onwards IIRC.
The only thing I would disagree with in the video was the statement on the E46 M3 steering which is definitely too "slow".
Compared to the E46 M3, the E92 M3 really improved on the steering speed as well as turn in and front end grip...initially it may feel like the E46 M3 communicated better with the road but what makes the E92 seem less communicative is that it has so much more grip....once you get the E92 M3 to the edge its equally good at letting you know whats going on.
