Black grills (matte or gloss) can be had for <$100 in the aftermarket market. 15 minute install. Even for super-novices like me. Have a search for my photos in other threads.
Don't worry about having only one store in Vic. The demand for M cars is so high here in the lower mainland, deals are terribly hard to come by.
