Great start for Team BMW Motorsport in Spa-Francorchamps: Since lap 28 the no. 79 BMW M3 GT2 with Dirk Müller at the wheel is in the lead, after starting from second. Uwe Alzen improved from sixth to third in the no. 78 car during his first stint, then Pedro Lamy gained another place on lap 43. This gives BMW a 1-2 lead in Spa after 2 hours.
