Some crazy stuff has been happening at the BART station in San Leandro. Scum bags have been crawling under suvs and cutting off the catalytic converters to sell as scrap. It ends up costing the owner (or insurance company) around $1400 to replace depending on how bad of a job the thief does.
One I saw had to have the exhaust manifold to the muffler replaced because the thieves cut off the flanges, not sure what all of that cost.
