I bet there are most likely stipulations that void the warranty if abused. Their definition of "abused" might be different than yours. I'd read the fine print first. They usually only cover things like nails in the tire. Which probably costs less than $10 to plug. In fact, you can do it yourself. Big holes require replacement, but make sure the insurance covers this. Tire wear I've not heard of being covered.
