Sorry for the
I am an OB in a relatively small town. I have been stopped 5 times going to the hospital over the last 10 years. I received on ticket that the judge dismissed.
There are many times in the middle of the night that I get a call from the labor nurses about an acute emergency. Understand that 5 minutes additional minutes of oxygen deprivation can be life damaging (think cerebral palsy) or life ending.
I live 15 minutes during usual traffic and 8 minutes at a safe and reasonable high speed that are above the posted limits. In addition, there is talk about redlight cameras.
I am sorry, at 3 am....I am going to speed.
But please answer me this...if I pass an officer on the highway going 90 mph...he will give chase. How fast does he have to go to catch me?
So, I am at an unreasonable speed at 90...but he is reasonable at 130?
Or better yet...my M5 is unreasonable at 72 in a 65 and will get ticketed...but a 20 year old minivan, running mismatched tires...overloaded and towing a trailer will get ignored at 68 mph...
