All it is, is a current M5 SMG shift knob with an E46 M3 SMG shifter base and boot. My gut tells me the final DCT look will be different.

Thanks for the post (OP). Agree with you MI6 as well that the final look will likely be a bit different. It is very encouraging to see an uncovered DCT unit out in the field for all too see. It means to me that the maturity, ready for market level and BMWs confidence is getting higher. All great news.
