If you want an M3 without any issue concerns, opt for no transmission at all and ask dealer if you can power your vehicle Fred Flintstone style with your toes.

If, however, you go with either transmission you should be fine. You will read about issues on both sides of the fence here; whether it's DCTs clunky baulking or MTs grinding and 1-2 shifting issues.
