So what? The porsche still weighs probably 400 pounds less and this was a vert so it probably weighed closer to 600-700 less.
Even a 997.2 s with a m3 coupe/sedan would seem to be quite a close race. I still think it is impressive given the 911 is the protypical (non-super supercar) sports car in the world
