I had a driver's school where we did a wet skid pad. I was on R1s, what a joke. It went like this, accelerating traction, traction, traction....slide slide slide. No in between at all.
I would always load my track tires into my car for the trip to and from the track and then install them at the track. This would be critical if you expected rain during your trip to or from the track.
I'm sure the Hoosiers and or BFG will out perform the Michelin Cup tires in the dry, and you'll get more wear out of them on the track too.
