@dnvrdrvr Gitani was one of my alternates. I think which to choose, race or hybrid, depends upon your comfort level -- frustration at moments when it feels too soft vs. frustration at moments when it feels too loud. The MPE has never felt too loud. I consider that mildly disappointing, but would rather have that than be too loud, drawing the wrong kind of attention when driving around town. (On my E36, it's pretty much an open pipe from cats back, but even so it rarely busts 80db; the most BimmerHaus pegged it was 103db, iirc. It's a different story with the S65, obviously.
