Haven't driven the 997.2 GT3 yet but you're right In end it will probably be 997.2 or 991.1 for a 100-115k. I just don't know about the PDK yet (back story: I'm on my second e90; this one is manual but the last one was Dct and after a year and Half, the Dct became a little boring. Felt I needed to drive the car hard all the time to enjoy it. With the manual, not as much).
Makes total sense. Part of what made me love the 991.1 was experiencing it on track.

It’s also just the feel, grip and stability of it. The entire car feels on edge and reacts instantly to any input (turn in, braking, shifting, engine response)

It also comes alive (they all do) with a central muffler bypass. Makes a huge difference and sounds like a cup car.

Edit - never driven a 991.2 manual. Have seat time in the 991.1, 991.1 rs, 991.2 rs. I prefer the driving experience of the 991.1 to the 991.2 at least in the rs. The engine sounds better and it feels a little more raw. Of course they are all amazing.
