I wouldn't do it unless your a big fan and would enjoy going to the games on a regular basis and can afford to do so.
Like others said people wait until last minute which is stressful. So many factors that you can't control like the weather. Also how the team is playing that year and if you do it you better have lower level seats. And the fees on sites like stubhub and eBay are ridiculous and Craigslist you will deal with scammers low ballets and ticket brokers.
