My favorite generation of M3 is the E46, but I think the most fun to drive one is probably the E30. I like the E46 a lot because its still a somewhat small car and the S54 is an awesome engine... it's fast and maneuverable but still looks very classy and has a timeless design. It hasn't aged since 2001 in my mind.
