I also am not tracking the car much so I can't justify 5k worth of after market brakes for a little bit better stopping power. I don't think I can "feel" 5k worth of more stopping power over oem brakes.

You can definitely feel it. Pick up a used set of StopTech in the FS section. You want to be able to stop that beast with the added power.
