As many here have pointed out, a sub-$1000/mo payment is possible, but it all depends on factors like your credit, how much you drive, what options you want, etc.

I priced out a 2010 E90 today with all option packages, DCT, and all the important a la carte options; total MSRP of $70,675. I offered $1000 over invoice knowing that with the $2500 customer cash offer going on I'd be paying $1500 under invoice. Some members will think I could have negotiated lower, but I believe in paying a fair price for a good product. Payment (not including sales tax) came to $1044/mo, and that is with a 36 mo lease and 15k miles/year allowance. $2300 due at signing.

Peace,
JB
