Personally the auto highbeam is a waste. I have it on my x5. There are so many things that shut off the highbeams that I turned the option off. I live in an unincorporated area which means no street lights. Mailboxes have reflectors and reflecting numbers, when my lights hit them, off the highbeams go. Se on the highway, side road markers and road signs do the same.
The other thing that sucks is with auto on, you have to flash the highbeams to turn them off. Not the best when you want to shut off your highbeams your auto beams when they are auto off. You end up brighting people.
