They dont even get good mileage for all the extra trouble. The EPA is 12 and 17, the M5's NA 10 cylinder does that for the most part. Why not just put a regular naturally aspirated 8 or 10 cylinder in there, keep the high redline, and the legitimacy of the brand image...?

how does a 8L v12 with 8000rpm redline in the x6m with a beef up smg tranny sound? yummmy that is gonna be ton of torque

if bmw made a truck like this, I wouldn't care about gas mileage at all. i would buy it to two some stuff and drive the family around in style. lol
