By definition, you're talking trim packages of the same vehicle.
The only way to make them meaningfully different, is to limit yourself to comparing between only them.
As soon as other cars get involved, the differences shrink to details.

Ah, no a high reving v8 is an apple, a 335i is an orange. they are both fruits both round and might look them same after you eat them, but they taste very different.
