How about a $40 fix?
Try this, It plugs into your aux in port
And you send Bluetooth audio from your iPhone or other BT device through it to the aux port
I've used the blackberry stereo gateway, but this one is nice cuz it has a battery
So you can hook this up to any boom box etc
So have it charging in the car with a car USB charger
And whenever you need it out of the car, it's fully charged
It says the battery will last for 8 hours
Not bad
