Here's my thought. Pending how old your battery is and what you have running off of it (stereo system) predicts the life of the battery. When u completely drain a battery it hinders the capability of the battery to store energy "current". Lead acid batteries, which I believe is in majority of the cars take a while for it to charge completely from the alternator with short drives. Remember, normally the battery is only there to start the vehicle. What I would do is disconnect properly and charge over night (trickle charge) or remove and take it to an auto store so it can be tested by putting some resistance on the battery. Or, if its old just go buy a new one since both you and I can afford to have such a kick ass car.
