Despite the fact that this "1.3" conversion factor works just right for RS4 and M5, I doubt that's going to happen. (At least I hope not because loaded new M3 with $64k base price will be end up around high $70k or even $80k)
I got this $16k difference from "build your own" of my E46 M3, which I never got to buy it.

You used a currency conversion which between GBP and USD is 1.96 (today). The point is that you can not multiply the price of cars by the appropriate currency conversion to get the price in another country. Local proces, adjusted for currency are different and taxes also play a major role. Each division of a car company decides or has input to head quarters about pricing. The 1.3 number is not magic, not fixed, just something that has worked accurately in the past. Again I strongly suspect either the UK pricing in this leak was wrong or <$60k base US price.
