I believe that the usual price hike has been about 1.9%. The 2.9% increase this year gets you a remarkable amount of stuff and performance on the MY2009, so it's more than worth it to me.
Basically,the 1% additional increase ($838) USD gets you DI w/30 hp, 15 lb/ft of torque, larger touch screen PCM, a 12 lb. lighter engine set lower in the body with 42% less moving parts-including the elimination of the intermediate shaft, 10% better fuel economy and roughly 12% less emissions, LED lights fore and aft, and a host of other goodies. Yeah, it's the best $838 performance upgrade I've ever spent.
I'm glad to hear you're loving your car. I get the feeling that M-DCT is calling you, however.
