Try using one (or all of)those three dvd hack/links. I did not see your SONY player listed with a known hack. But often times another model's dvd hack will work across the model line. IF it works... be sure to post it on that page.
Btw... I can say for certain that
DVD Shrink will copy the dvd just fine, for playback in a US (NTSC) dvd player. Just so I can have a "back up" copy.
