Bet nobody thought that a mint delivery miles E30 M3 would sell for over $100,000 but one did recently IIR. What did they sell for new? Extrapolate it 50 years and $1M car isn't unrealistic. Heck, I remember when a "million dollar home" was a "mansion" and very exclusive... now we trade those (in certain areas) like they are common. The value is relative, of course, to the present value of money.
