I graduated from College 9 months ago and I'm approved for a $50k loan at 2.75% interest through USAA. Also just leased a BMW. Recently graduating doesn't mean you have to pay 9% interest. Look around and compare rates. No reason in this banking climate to pay more than 4-5% interest unless you have bankruptcies or 0 credit history... OP should be able to get a loan through PenFed or USAA for low rates as long as you've had some form of credit for the last couple years.
