Unless there are two air filter adapters...1) to allow fitment of '08 filters into later US models and euro models and 2) to allow fitment of +'10 filters/euro filters into '08-'09 models... could you provide a little bit more clarity? really appreciate it.
Sorry for the confusion, had it backwards. The adapter is to allow a 08-09 filter to run on a EU or 2010+ US vehicle.

This would serve no purpose on the stock filter, since it is more restrictive.
