Not sure but some people on this forum are complaining theirs is too quiet and others are finding too loud, so maybe there's something to it. Someone else on this thread with a black series compared with others and found his was much louder. Mine is also a black series and loud as hell.
The black series are not as common and they might still be based on the old louder design. Also black in general is bad ass so they ought to be louder
Eisenmann changed their plaque design over the years so we can't compare that. Mine says "
R-1" after the part number (5267), for what it's worth.
