Finally got around to fixing the all weather mats. Left them out in the sun for a while which made the glue as seen above soft and was sable to dig and peel most of it out. It was still a pain but easier when hot then cool.
Phoned my local BMW store who said they didn't carry anything (glue,Velcro) to fix them and suggested some type of gorilla glue.
After speaking to some knowledgeable folk and doing some research, I decided on "Shoe Goo" since it's probably the best adhesive to the materials involved. One tube is enough to do 2 weather mats (4 circles).
Seems pretty good. We'll see how long it last. Should get several years out of it…
