This behaviour is definitely not normal.
I have a 02/2009 DCT build. No such problems. I mosly drive on M mode, sport plus settings.
The car pulls hard at any rev range. Granted, at low revs is takes a bit more time to build speed (just like any other car), but it does not judder.
Take it back to the dealer ASAP.
It would be usefull if you could replicate this behaviour at will (gear, speed, rev range, etc).
