Seriously, there's a lot of FUD to be found, but no one really knows what caused this sound or if it was serious. Some folks got their dealers to give them new cars. That's pretty kick-ass. But I couldn't spend the effort to swing that, unless it had gotten worse. Which it didn't.
I wish my left shoulder would use your car's engine as a role model....
