It's unfortunate, but some get lucky and get a solid car and some don't. We pay a heavy price for the superior handling of a stiffly sprung car. And road surfaces play a big part too as the overall loosening up of the vehicle is cumulative.
I used to own a 996TT which has one of the stiffest suspensions in a road car ever (besides the GT3). That car accumulated more rattles than I ever imagined, which I tolerated since they were mainly drowned out by my modded exhaust, until the windshield area developed a nearly constant loud squeek. Dealer spent 2 days trying to find it and failed. I lived with it for 2 more years and finally sold it for this (and several other) reasons.
