I personally don't think dark/black wheels don't look good on dark/black car.
My mag blue TE37 only works on my Jerez Black M3 due to the unique beautiful colors of them. But, in some simpler way, my pressed graphite TE37SL look good too on Jerez Black. I just think white TE37 would just pop (especially on the track) on Jerez Black car, so I'm thinking about powder-coating the beat-up mag blue TE37 in white color.
Separate track wheels is always good too.

Someone had an E92 Jerez Black with white Volk SL TE37s and it looked really good. I have to go dig in my photobucket. I thought about it but didnt want to.
