I recently purchased a second hand 2006 320i e90.

Driving to work this morning I noticed my aircon was making a 'hissing' noise and that the air being pumped out definitely wasn't cold.

What is the usual service requirements of BMW air con? is ~5 years about the average time for a service/re-gas? Or is it something more sinister?
