It is louder in the cabin from idle on up...most of the time. When you're just coasting not much difference than stock but as soon as there is any throttle input it wakes up where the stock exhaust doesn't. Guys that like the db's of a Race exhaust will most likely find the M Perf to be too quiet, it's a Sport exhaust, not a Race. It's my "Goldilocks" exhaust, not too quiet, not too loud...just right.
