Try not to force it. Finesse it instead. It will get a bit smoother as time goes on but will never be the smoothest shift. Just work it at the pace it wants to go rather than trying to make it really fast and it should be at least somewhat satisfying. Also, shifting at higher revs seems to make it a little bit better.
