It's pretty hard to argue that the M1 does not characterise the DNA of the M-car, (it is the F1 strain, afterall).
The final four in rank order would thus be:
1. M1
2. E30 M3 (or a derivative thereof)
3. E46 M3 CSL
4. E92 M3 (apologies for my cyncism, but car is still not yet launched, and it therefore does not make sense to eliminate it half-way through the article!)
SteveD - I know I'm pushing my luck here, but is there anything reassuring you can say about the steering on the E92 M3 now that you have driven it in the U.K?
