Not sure if this will work but I saw a guy pulled over peeling his tail light tint off on the side of the 5 South. I'm assuming he did this to avoid being ticketed on the spot. Maybe the same thing will work if you buy and keep a tow hook adapter in your trunk so that if you get pulled over, you can ask the officer if you can put it on then and there and avoid the ticket.
