I had the same dilema as you did, but i just pulled the trigger and couldnt be happier. Its really not that bad, i go over the same speed bumps/bumps in road/etc and i can barely notice a difference. Now that i got my front lip on, there is only 1 undergound parking lot that I cant access...other than that no problems so far, and i love the look.

If your shocks blow out, they will have to prove that it was your aftermarket springs that led to shock failure. So short answer to your question is yes.
