The car was snappier and steering wasn't as heavy - I'm sure there was a difference but I don't have anything but subjective feedback.
I can comment that 295 19's was faster than 275 18's at road atlanta by 4 seconds. So whatever gains from lighter weight was outweighed by more grip from the 295's and less sidewall.
