That's why all the companies cite economic downturn as the reason for pulling out? Racing goes back to the dawn of time. Competition is what pushes everybody.

And I seriously doubt anybody watches Formula 1 and decides what car to buy from that. I didn't buy my car because of Sauber's win record.
