If you haven't raced in all out race pads (and I'm not talking about most of the stuff that is a compromise between street and track) then you may not know what I'm talking about.
I had a USED set of PFC01's with my stock calipers for oloa, running over 5k miles, tracking everyday for 8 days. The pad depth change was around 2-3mm. There was almost as much wear on my rotors.
This is the stuff that need a lap or two to get to full temp and before that it doesn't bite. most of the wear is from cold pads- on the track they really last a while. I had them on the street for a few days and kids were crying, mom's screaming, pulling their kids away, drive thrus quickly slam their windows shut and give you evil looks. yeah these kinds of pads...
